Santiago Buitrón has a PhD in Cultural Heritage from the University of Jaén (Spain). He has an International Postgraduate in Community-Based Cultural Policies, from FLACSO (Argentina), as well as a Diploma in Cultural Heritage Management, from the Autonomous University of Mexico City. He has a Master's Degree in Education from Newport University, California (United States) and an Engineer in Communication and Audiovisual Arts Production from the Universidad Iberoamericana del Ecuador.
Consultant, Educator, Communicator, Heritage Researcher, Sociocultural Activist with experience in public policy issues for the educational, communication and organizational sector through projects within which he has participated in axes of creation, conceptualization, application of qualitative research methodologies- quantitative, monitoring, evaluation and analysis of results and impacts. President of the Scientific Committee, Creator and Producer of the International Congress of Community Living Heritage and Meeting of Festive Tourism "Runa Mashka", in Ecuador
