Are you interested in yoga and meditation but don’t know where to begin? Or maybe you have tried them many times in the past but found them difficult or not enjoyable. In this 90-minute workshop Chiyoko will first explain the basic principles of yoga and meditation, and how they can be used together to reduce stress, calm the mind, and increase happiness. Then Chiyoko will teach a gentle yoga and meditation class so everyone gets to experience the benefits. This workshop is great for beginners to ask questions, be comfortable, have fun, and learn simple yoga and meditation practices they can easily do at home. Level: beginner, all are welcome. Dress: in comfortable clothes for light exercise. No yoga mat necessary.

Chiyoko has been a practitioner of Vinyasa Yoga and Vedic Meditation for 13 years. Her inspiration comes from the Jivamukti Yoga lineage, where she studied in the New York City studio for over a decade. Chiyoko has worked as a health and wellness coach and spiritual guide to many who are seeking to find a balanced lifestyle, more energy, more inspiration, and less stress. She is very happy to share these powerful, ancient tools with the community of Vilcabamba in an easy and accessible way. She believes all people can greatly benefit from a yoga and meditation practice, and that would result in making the world a better place.
