The Montubio and traditional theatre and dance work Allá en el Monte, with a cast of 20 artists and a duration of one and a half hours, is deeply connected with the principles of the Vilcabamba Wellness Fest 2005, focused on the promotion of integral well-being, connection with cultural identity, and the strengthening of the sense of community.

The festival seeks to create an atmosphere that inspires reflection on personal and community well-being, and this particular work contributes to spiritual and emotional well-being by reconnecting the public with the roots and values of Montubio folklore, a fundamental aspect of Ecuadorian identity. Allá en el Monte explores the customs, traditions, and life in rural Montubio, thus promoting pride in one's own and a sense of belonging that strengthens collective self-esteem.
